2021 missile attacks in Saudi Arabia

On February 27, 2021, Saudi Arabia said they have been intercepted a missile attack over its capital Riyadh.[1] The Saudi government suspects the attacks as well as bomb-laden drones targeting the southern province of Jizan had been launched by Yemen‘s Houthi rebels.[2]

The ballistic missile which was intercepted over Riyadh, with its intended target believed to be the Formula E race that had recently concluded in Diriyah ePrix.[3]
