The New Jersey Devils welcomed back a pair of their own on Sunday.
Defenseman Andy Greene and goalie Cory Schneider returned to Prudential Center for the first time as members of the New York Islanders.
Greene played 923 games for the Devils over 14 seasons and served as captain for the past five seasons before being traded to the Islanders in February of 2020. The Islanders did not play at the Prudential Center again before the season was paused in March due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
Schneider played for the Devils for 7 seasons, appearing in 311 games, starting 302 of them.
Both were welcomed back with a nice tribute video that featured some of their big highlights on and off the ice during their time in New Jersey.
